Welcome to my da Vinci Geometry information page! Geometry is a high-school-level class. I have previously taught it to middle schoolers in Portland at Laurelhurst and Access Academy, and to high schoolers at Benson High School.
My course syllabus summarizes the topics we will cover this year; materials students need for class; my classwork, homework, and grading policies; and how to contact me or arrange for extra help. Grades will be updated in Synergy (the online gradebook) about once a week, generally on weekends.
Homework will be given out in class on most Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. It will also be listed on Synergy (the online gradebook) and sent out through remind.com as phone texts and email messages. You can sign up for remind.com by clicking here. I will not see the phone or email information you enter, although I will see your name on the list.
More details on my test correction policy are also on this weblog.
Posts to my weblog that are about Geometry will have the dvgeometry tag.

The publisher of our Geometry Connections textbook, CPM (College Preparatory Mathematics), has a terrific homework help resource on the web. For each homework problem, it has tips, sample work, suggestions, and/or a few answers to check against as you work. There are lots of other things for families on cpm.org in addition to the homework help, including extra practice worksheets, technology resources, resource pages to go with lessons (the same ones provided in class), and advice and guides for parents.
My Math Links page has my suggestions for other math and puzzle online sites. I will update these lists as I find more sites, and welcome your suggestions.
